For some beautiful reason, Minnesota members of Congress have competed in hotdish competitions year after year. Started by then-Senator and SNL alum Al Franken, this bipartisan effort has produced dozens of hotdish recipes, all of which I am testing and ranking here at Cookin’ with Congress. My arteries are so excited.

All episodes outside of our very first (which features Senator Amy Klobuchar kicking off the series) will support Minnesota’s Heart of the House, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to financially supporting the restaurant worker community.
